Our Story

Barten Pumpkins began in 1983 when Roman and Fran made the switch from selling sweet corn at their roadside stand to focusing on pumpkins. Since then, all 11 of their children and their spouses have helped out, along with more than 35 grandchildren who get to experience life on the farm and spend time together as a family. What started as a small stand has grown into a beloved tradition—a way for our family to stay connected and share a cherished piece of country living with our customers.

Over the years, Barten Pumpkins has expanded to offer more than 45 varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds, along with beautiful displays, broom corn, corn shocks, straw bales, and more. Even as we’ve grown, our philosophy remains the same: to provide beautiful fall decorations and family fun at family-friendly prices.
